Could DunMurphy come back to the Bay?

slamson-sacramento-kingsHere’s some links to peruse while I’m on my way to…Las Vegas! It’s for a work trip, but it should still be interesting — if you put a group of videogame writers together in a place like Vegas you know you’re in for some craziness…or a bunch of guys who will stay up in their hotel rooms playing videogames. It’s a 50/50 shot. I also can’t wait to curse an NCAA Tournament team by putting $20 on them to win the title. Maybe I’ll bet on Duke just so they’ll lose.

–Speaking of Vegas, the Maloof brothers are thinking of moving the Sacramento Kings to Anaheim, while the Pacers are losing so much money they’re rumored to be another team that could be on the move. Possible destinations for relocating teams include Kansas City, Seattle, Las Vegas and…San Jose. That’s right, the return of Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy to the Bay Area! (Boston Globe)

–Jay Cutler has reportedly asked for a trade. Once again, why not the Niners? (ESPN)

–Manny Ramirez either has a sore hammy or is already tired of Spring Training. Or both. (LA Times)

–Saint Mary’s got hosed. (The Dagger)

–Sorry two from the same website in a row, but this is another good post, this time regarding the worst seeding mistakes the committee made. Really, Syracuse as a No. 3? (The Dagger)

–Just this week, I’ve seen San Francisco Giants hats in A’s and Laker colors. Here’s Lakers gear in Celtics green. What the hell is going on? (SOX and Dawgs)

  1. Elton says:

St. Mary’s did not get hosed. Or maybe they did, but they had no chance of winning, so who cares? John Madden earned his $1 million paycheck this morning on KCBS by pointing out that only the top seeds ever win the NCAA tourney.

  2. BASG says:

They weren’t going to win, but if Mills caught fire they could have at least gotten to the Sweet 16 if not the Elite 8, and that would have been fun to watch.

And Elton, what are you doing touring with Billy Joel, who’s pretty much bizarro you? Isn’t that a little piano-”rock” overkill?
