Remember back in August of 2011, when KNBR decided Gary Radnich needed a co-host and moved Damon Bruce from 1050 to 680’s 9-to-noon show? It’s understandable if you don’t, since the two only hosted about 10 shows together, maybe even fewer.
Radnich went on “vacation” after two weeks of working with Bruce, and that vacation became a boycott of sorts. By the end of the month, Radnich had a new partner (Larry Krueger) and Bruce was back in his old spot on KNBR 680’s sister station.
Speaking of sisters, that’s how Bruce described his brief working relationship with Radnich.
@NoGreaterRaider Because he shrank next to me, and had career panic after one show. He’s the Solange to my Beyoncé.

This isn’t all that different from Bruce’s description of what happened back in October of 2011, when he said Radnich “whined like a little girl.” It probably shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that Bruce tends to bring up girls and women whenever he belittles Radnich, considering his infamous “sports are set to the dial of men” rant, when Bruce reminded women everywhere that the world of sports is his “sandbox.”
And since Radnich is a pretty big Jay-Z fan, I’m not sure the Solange comparison truly fits.
