The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s office will not charge Pablo Sandoval with sexual assault.
Deputy April Skalland told KTVU there was “insufficient evidence to support an arrest.” Sandoval was being accused of sexually assaulting a Santa Cruz woman at the Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos.
The abuse was reported to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office at 4:30 am. Sandoval was last seen leaving Motiv on Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz at 1:30. According to bar manager Isaac Cook, Sandoval left alone.
While still no details about the alleged assault or victim have been released, Sandoval had been cooperating fully with the police.
An exonerated Sandoval means his fan-friendly image remains largely unmarred. So, Giants fans, you are free to continue your love affair with the Panda.

"So, Giants fans, you are free to continue your love affair with the Panda." Just don't do so in an isolated setting.
I was right again. Pablo has to watch for the golddiggers...
If he were linked to Steroids or other types of HGH drugs, they'll be all over him in a heart beat.
it is difficult to prove a she-said-he-said case unless there were witnesses. We will see if the woman go after Sandoval in civil court.
I'm still not anymore likely to go out and pay $15 for a panda hat. But at least I can feel good that I jumped 6 feet in the air when he hit that bases cleaning triple in the all-star game. He may be just like most baseball players- a self absorbed, chew spitting, excessive drinking, womanizing, profanity spewing, non role model- but he's not a rapist- at least according to the Santa Cruz Sheriffs.
Not all baseball players are Aubrey Huff, Dan.
I say MOST, not all. 42-22 with the thong, bro. ...yes Pablo is in peak physical condition.
I wonder how many serious conversations have been had between Huff and the coaching staff about bringing the thong out of retirement...
