Last week I saw a spirited discussion on Twitter about the term “Gamer Babe” (a compilation of blurry screenshots from that discussion can be found here). Whether the San Francisco Giants or the special event’s sponsor noticed and decided to make a change is unknown. Since I have nothing else to add, here’s what I remember about the “Gamer movement”: Aaron Rowand was its unofficial leader, as seen in this 2008 commercial celebrating supermarket violence.
