During the brief period of media availability while the 49ers warmed up for this afternoon’s practice, we got to see Tank Carradine, Quinton Dial, Mario Manningham and Eric Wright in action.

I forgot to get a photo of Eric Wright, who was wearing No. 20 today at practice (Perrish Cox was wearing No. 24 for an unknown reason). However, I snapped a few of the other three returnees. Dial is listed on the roster as No. 71, but today he was wearing 92. Carradine is supposed to be No. 95 when he returns to action, but today he was wearing 99. Manningham was in his familiar No. 82.

Manningham caught some passes on a full sprint, so it stands to reason that he’ll be ready to return after the bye week (#analysis). It’s harder to tell for Dial and Carradine, who were about to go through their first real NFL practice today. So far, the rookie d-linemen have only taken part in walk-throughs. As for Wright, who wasn’t dealing with a true injury to speak of (all Jim Harbaugh would say about Wright’s condition today was “there’s no restrictions from the doctors”), his return date is anyone’s guess.
