If this pic of Bat Kid at the 49ers game on Sunday helps, so be it.

A few weeks after #SFBatKid saved San Francisco from the evil villains of Gotham, the Make-A-Wish foundation makes headlines again with another good deed before the holiday season.

Patricia Wilson, executive director at Make-A-Wish and mastermind behind making little Miles Scott’s (aka Bat Kid) wish come true, offered to take a plunge into the San Francisco bay to raise money for the organization. I walked around in flip flops today and almost got hypothermia, so I can tell you that Wilson’s pledge is quite challenging. At the time of the plunge, Wilson reported  on twitter that it was “45 degrees and very windy. Water is choppy.”

Wilson also posted some pictures of her adventures in the frigid bay from this morning:

Ironically, don’t these pictures just warm your heart?

The act certainly seemed to touch Matt and Chelsea Cain, who offered to match donations up to $50,000 to complement Wilson’s efforts. At the time of posting, Wilson had already managed to raise $14,136.

In the season of giving, I urge you to to make a donation, however small or large, to this wonderful charity. The people who work there are selfless and the deeds they perform are even more so. If you want to make a donation, please visit Patricia Wilson’s donation page here. You have until 5pm on Tuesday to chip in.

If you need a visual reminder of why this organization is absolutely phenomenal, here ya go:
