Tonight I’m getting my second Warriors media credential in six days, which means I’ll get to witness the greatness of the NBA’s best team (so far) up close. Yeah, last time I got to see what it’s like to be in a winning NBA locker room for the first time, and tonight I’ll get that chance to — provided I visit where the Spurs shower and put on their designer jeans after the game. I kid, I kid. It’s Oracle, the Warriors aren’t playing too badly and the Spurs just got destroyed by the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday night.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Hornets’ defense was so stifling that nobody in the Spurs starting lineup really played a ton of minutes, so they’ll be angry and rested for tonight’s game. Look for the Warriors to try to use Stephen Curry’s suddenly hot shooting to exploit Tony Parker, and a whole lot of size to counteract Tim Duncan, DeJuan Blair and Tiago Splitter (in other words, get ready for a lot of Dan Gadzuric tonight).
So pay attention to my Twitter feed and this website after the game, as I document either one of this season’s biggest upsets or just another Spurs win — one that would be their 11th straight against Golden State. For some reason I doubt Eva Longoria will be in attendance.
