It’s been NINERSNINERSNINERSNINERSNINERS on this site for a while now, and I promise the love will start spreading out to the other teams soon. Probably after Sunday, unless they win the darned thing. Then the tunnel vision coverage might last a day or two longer, who knows.
Did you know Andrew Bogut came back from his ankle injury, then Stephen Curry re-injured his ankle? The Warriors are nothing if not ankly. But they’re winning more than they’re losing, and we’ll get to them when I get back from New Orleans, I swear.
There’s also a video I have to share, one which shows just how much they love baseball in Venezuela. Pablo Sandoval hit a home run in Game 7 of the Winter League Final. It was an impressive blast, but the crowd reaction carries Sandoval to new heights of enthusiasm and joy. Add that to a boisterous call by whoever announced the game, and you have the recipe for a video with an extremely high re-watchability score.
Sometimes you forget that Sandoval is one of the most talented hitters in the world. Then he hits three home runs against the Tigers in Game 1 of the World Series, or crushes one that causes a stadium in his home nation to explode like this, and you remember.

Upon a second viewing, I just noticed his "discount double-check" there at the end.
He needs to get back to his Churros Anonymous meetings.
Wow, what a HR by Pablo! That ball was torched! It does get you excited for this upcoming baseball season! The reason why everyone is concerned with Pablo's weight is basically because he's only going to get bigger as he gets older. As others have brought up, if he's this big at 26, how's he going to look like when he's 30, 35, if he's still on the Giants or any other MLB team by then? Yes, Pablo had a great season last season and was able to play most of the season despite the hammate bone and hamstring injuries, but it's hard for him to bend on some of the close plays at 3rd base, like the plays where he has to field a slow grounder to 3rd base, or a play where he has to play it on a hop and the hitter is a fast runner. But yeah, as Giants fans, I think we're just more concerned about his long-term health and how that could impact not only the Giants, but his career. Even Damon Bruce has touched on it whenever he talks about Pablo's weight, talking about how he's basically losing millions because of his weight. Pablo has the chance to be one of the best 3rd baseman in the MLB, and yes, he is right now, but you would like to see him control his weight more. You would hate to see him eat himself out of the league. The guy is a great player and a great and funny guy. Yes, Pablo is a naturally big guy, but hopefully he conditions himself during spring training.
WOW dude comes up clutch in both respective Championships and 3/4 of the posts so far are as to how 'fat' he is? Really? A 'fat' guy that that had the stamina to play through a whole calendar year of baseball AND still had the wherewithal to come up clutch. Yeah.
Bochy just thought: " I know Tony Gwynn, Tony Gwynn is a friend of mine, Pablo, your a Tony Gwynn? Brr well sure hope so... Flan get Panda back on that Arizona mountain, brrr, spit, chew."
Fat
Now we can see why Pablo is so boisterous when he's playing in the states. Easy to see that Venezuela matches his enthusiasm. Also, to comment on the above, yeah he's a big dude but he's never gonna be a fit lean guy. As long as it doesn't hinder his performance, I don't think we need to harp on it
Wow, he looks like Tony Gwynn. That is not a good thing.
Yeah, the extra lbs destroyed Tony Gwynn's Hall of Fame caree... I think people are worrying a little too much about Sandoval's weight. He's never going to look like Omar Vizquel.
I don't care how much he weighs--it's just a shock! He has gained a lot of weight in a short period of time.
Wow, that man is fat!
He looks like he's lost weight! Oh wait, that's just terrible viewing quality on my iPhone 3G. Dude is packin' alright. Jelly Donuts in his tummy all day. NFL players aside, I have a hard time thinking of a better, fatter athlete. Pablo's the man whether he is the size of Fontenot or William Perry.
He's packin'!
