Stephen Curry came up gingerly at one point in the third quarter, and shortly after was seen limping to the locker room. Uh oh. Ankle? Yep, again.
Then Curry came back out and sat on the bench for a while, long enough for a sprained ankle to tighten up. Then he was back in the game. Ohhhhh, it was the other ankle. Let’s rejoice!
After the game Curry had both of his ankles submerged in an ice bucket, which isn’t all that out of the ordinary. In the video below Curry brushes off concerns about “tweaking” his left ankle. Then I asked if he gets a little more excited when facing Steve Nash, who Ethan Sherwood Strauss then mentions has been used as a “comp” to Curry for a while.
Curry says all the right things here (of course), but it’s still interesting. He can’t help wanting to do well against a guy he spends off-seasons studying on video, especially when many have noted similarities between the two.
