I have a feeling the A's will contend for the AL West next year. They have so many great young arms in the rotation and in the pen, and that division has replaced the NL West as the worst division in baseball.

The key will be if Billy Beane can get a bat or two for Matt Holliday by July 31. Letting him go for nothing would make trading for Holliday one of the worst transactions of Beane's career.

So sorry about the Big Unit's shoulder. No fun. And Zito tweets? That's a bit scary.

Did you catch the 6-0 A's win over the Red Sox last night? In my "household" (if you can call it that), these are tough times, with me cheering on the worst hitting team in the MLB and my better half praying that the Yanks don't pull ahead of his dearest Sox. Thankfully, NYY also lost last night, so both of us were happy. And how bout that Anderson? Think he might become a game changer next season, assuming the A's hang on to him?
