I guess I could call customer service, but I have a bunch of links to dump here so I figured I’d vent about my cable box here first.
First off, congratulations to Brian Wilson for apparently dominating the Dodgers in the ninth inning tonight for a nice little comeback save after blowing one yesterday. I won’t write any more about his Twitter page, mostly because it doesn’t exist any more. I would have loved to see Wilson’s performance tonight on Comcast Sports Plus, which due to tonight’s wretched Sharks game was moved to Comcast Channel 410. Unfortunately my cable box doesn’t seem to like that channel, since I got some technical difficulties message.
Wait, I just realized something while I was writing that last sentence: the Sharks lost, so I won’t have to worry about crap like this happening for the rest of the season. You know what they say, every cloud…
That’s OK, maybe it would be better if you just went to bed…

–Just try to watch this Michael Crabtree compilation and not get waaaaayyyy too excited for football season. I dare you. (YouTube)
–Whose hands are better, Crabtree’s or new 49ers rookie QB Nate Davis out of Ball State. Before you answer, watch him toss BB’s — without gripping the laces. (YouTube)
–To hear Jason Whitlock tell it, Davis is a combination of Tom Brady and Brett Favre. Of course, Whitlock also went to David Letterman’s alma mater. (Three dot blog)
–If you’re into these sorts of things, here’s how the 49ers’ draft graded out on most of the mainstream sites. If you can tell me what grade Mel Kiper Jr. gave the 49ers’ draft last year, you get a cookie. (49ers Hot Read)
–Andres Torres is likely headed to the DL with a hamstring pull, which sucks for him. Suckier for pitch-count haters everywhere is this quote from Barry Zito, who was pretty awesome until the seventh inning, “I never got over 95 pitches all spring. Once I got into the 110 area I tired out.” I guess you have to respect Zito’s honesty, but some of the things he says are head-scratching, to put it mildly. (The Splash)
–For what it’s worth, one Giants beat writer didn’t notice Wilson nursing a hangover on Sunday. (Extra Baggs)
