The Nielsen numbers were released today. If I’m not mistaken, the San Francisco figure posted by 95.7 The Game is the highest since we started posting the sports talk ratings for both Bay Area markets. KNBR remains at the top spot overall among all listeners (Monday through Sunday, 6 am – 12am), ahead of KCBS (5.4) and KQED (5.0).

Radio ramblings
— According to 95.7 program director Jason Barrett, the numbers for men age 25-to-54 are even better.
A very rewarding day for me & our @957thegame team. We’ve just hit the Top 6 & delivered the highest ratings in the history of the station!

— Again, the secrecy regarding the ratings for specific shows limit what we can glean from these numbers. How much of KGMZ’s recent increases are due to their lineup changes/additions, and how much can we credit the dominance shown by the team with baseball’s best record?
— Either way, a couple years ago it would’ve been hard to picture 95.7 finishing right behind KGO (1.9) and ahead of KSFO (1.5) in the overall ratings.
— Earlier in the day we posted about the Rise Guys landing a new gig in a familiar location, but not the same Sacramento sports talk station they used to work for. Dan Dibley will not be joining them in late-July, however.
