Are you going to watch Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants face Chad Billingley and the Los Angeles Dodgers? Are you going to be in or around San Francisco? Then you should come out to The Boardroom and hang out with us!
The Boardroom is a sports bar, a place that’s better than an actual boardroom because they have liquor. Unless your office is like Mad Men, then your boardroom already has liquor. But even if you’re allowed in this retro boardroom, you probably can’t watch baseball and NBA playoff games in there.
Before I get too far off track and start talking about the relative merits of the “Megan” character and whether or not she’s a suitable mate for Don Draper, I’d like to invite all of you to a party to celebrate the launch of the redesigned BASG website. The best way I can think of to celebrate is to hang out with you, the people who read this site daily, weekly, monthly or annually. Hey, maybe this post is your introduction to BASG — you’re invited, too!
We’ll be kicking things off around 6 pm and staying until the end of the Giants/Dodgers game. Here are some more details:
Are you ready to rage?
Join BASG and fellow Giants fans to watch the Giants play the Dodgers on Wednesday, May 9th and celebrate the re-launch of the new bayareasportsguy.com
Extended happy hour until 9pm.
Bring cash as this celebration will also serve as a fundraiser for Team in Training SF to raise money for cancer research.
See details below and looking forward to meeting up with everyone and, of course, BEATING LA!
If you’re more into hanging out and watching sports than raging, no problem. Raging is definitely not required. My wife wrote those details, and she’s insane. Total rager. Bad Girls Club alum. You don’t want to know.
More than anything, I’d just like to meet some of you and thank you for visiting this site you’ve helped grow from a little indie Bay Area sports blog to a bigger indie Bay Area sports blog. If you’re reading this, you’re invited. It doesn’t matter whether you comment or not (although I have to admit I’m super curious about who “Stan” is); I’d just like to talk sports and show all of you that I’m a real person … not a cartoon character.
Seriously though, there are an infinite number of websites and everyone has a finite amount of time, so I’m flattered people come here. If you have a little extra time tonight, my wife and I would love it if you came out and watched some baseball with us.
