A day after Hunter Pence said he’d gone ahead and ordered a new scooter, the one that was stolen from outside Epic Roasthouse has been returned to its rightful owner. Amy Gutierrez reported the news on CSN Bay Area, and team chef Joe Day (who built Pence’s scooter, along with custom scooters for Madison Bumgarner and Sergio Romo) posted this:
Thanks to sfpd for returning hunter’s scooter. pic.twitter.com/rSLc4yhWLF

Since the San Francisco Police Department was involved, there’s probably a little more to this story that will come out after today’s game. As for the game itself (which I am not present for, as I’ll be attending the launch party for San Francisco Magazine’s latest issue that includes a story I wrote about Oakland sports), Tim Lincecum was lifted for a pinch hitter in the fifth inning with a no-hitter going. It was a move that made some sense, since his pitch-count was already at 96.
