At the end of Buster Posey’s interview in the clubhouse during the sixth inning (he’ll be DH’ing tomorrow at the minor league camp, he feels fine, etc.), Jeremy Affeldt stood about 10 feet behind the assembled reporters. I don’t know if he was making faces or what, but he caught Posey’s eye.
“Affeldt was nasty too,” Posey said, then he gave a look over to the doorway where Affeldt was standing in his jersey and compression shorts (which is why I didn’t turn the camera in Affeldt’s direction). Everyone laughed.
“Why you laughin’, Baggarly?” asked Affeldt, who pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout. “That’s jacked up.”
Then turned his attention to John Shea, who wrote a tweet a few days ago that Sergio Romo wasn’t a fan of.
“John Shea’s funny, he’s going to talk about my homer bouncing down Scottsdale Road, you know,” Affeldt continued.
“It’s all over the clubhouse, ain’t it,” Shea said.
“I love you, Johnny,” Affeldt replied.
